Performance (June 2023):

The Cost per Rail Passenger Trip of $8.53 in June exceeded the forecast by $1.00. This unfavorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in over budget and rail ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.1 million unlinked trips. The 2023 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through June) Cost per Rail Passenger Trip of $7.54 was lower than the forecast by $0.87. This favorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in under budget and rail ridership exceeding the forecast by 0.7 million unlinked trips.
