Definition: Bus Cost per Passenger Trip measures operating cost of providing bus service per unlinked passenger boarding.

 

Performance (June 2023):

The Cost per Bus Passenger Trip of $9.58 in June exceeded the forecast by $1.57. This unfavorable variance was due to operating expenses coming in over budget and bus ridership falling short of the forecast by 0.3 million unlinked trips. The 2023 Fiscal Year-to-Date (months of July through June) Cost per Bus Passenger Trip of $9.52 exceeded the forecast by $0.56. This unfavorable variance was due to bus ridership falling short of the forecast by 1.4 million unlinked passenger trips and operating expenses coming in over budget.
